Panthers, Kees look to bounce back
Both Rupanyup and Kalkee’s senior football sides will aim to rebound from losses when the two sides meet in round 15 this Saturday, July 25.
The eighth-placed Panthers found some midseason form with wins over the Swifts and Natimuk United, but have since suffered two straight defeats.
While they are now out of the finals race, Rupanyup have a chance to shake-up the finals outlook, including a potential upset win over Kalkee this Saturday.
Conversely, the Kees still remain a finals chance but will need a victory this week to keep pace with fifth-placed Pimpinio.
Kalkee suffered a close 12-point defeat to the Tigers in round 14, but have been one of the most consistent sides in 2026.
Despite playing away at Rupanyup this Saturday, the Kees previously defeated Rupanyup by 58 points when they last met in round four.
The midfield battle will be crucial for the two sides, with Patrick Mills and Matt Nield looming as key players for the Kees, while Jimmy Finnigan and Alby Kingston will hope to continue their strong seasons for Rupanyup.
