Dimboola, who are third, were surprised by the Warriors in round 15 of the WFNL in a 46 -to-54-goal loss, meaning the Nhill side moved ahead of Warrack on the ladder, putting finals hopes out of reach for the Sarah Spicer-led side.

With three weeks remaining, Warrack are 14 points behind fifth-placed Stawell.

The Eagles' opposition on Saturday, Horsham, got off to a brilliant start, leading by 11 goals at the end of the first quarter.

Warrack had a much better second term and reduced the margin to just seven going into half-time.

The gap was back out to 12, though, heading into the final quarter, before the Demons finished strongly to record the 45-67 win.

For Warrack, Isabella Orszulak led the way in the circle with 24 goals, followed by Briodi McKenzie with 18 and Nicola Clyne with three.
